In other words, there's a lot of manual work involved 'till I get things right. Not hidden at all, LUT Calc is a great tool made by Ben Turley and I would recommend it to everyone, however it's not the only thing I use of course, as I manually make calculations and I check and modify them in Davinci Resolve with a Decklink card outputting the SDI to a broadcast 4K Sony reference monitor, its scope, Davinci's scope and a Tektronix. Not sure why this info is so hidden by FranceBB, but looking to screenshots these LUTs are generated in well known LUTCalc No errors but contrast is too high on SDR display. 12/12/2023 0 Comments Cosine geometry definition![]() That’s potentially a little confusing, but hang in there and you will get used to it. This means that now represents what used to be our angle and that it no longer represents a coordinate of a point on the unit circle. When you encounter these functions in text books the variable is usually called rather than, so you will see something like We’ve now seen how moving around the unit circle can give us two functions, the sine function and the cosine function, each of which comes with a graph that describes a regular wave. The red wave is the sine of the angle plotted against the angle (coming from the vertical coordinate) and the blue wave is the cosine of the angle plotted against the angle (coming from the horizontal coordinate). It starts at 0, goes up to the maximum of 1, then down to 0 again, before dropping to the minimum of -1, and up again to 0. If you plot how the vertical coordinate (in red in the figure below) varies with the angle turned through (from 0 to ) you get a regular wave shape. As you kept moving it then dropped down to again in a symmetrical fashion, before reaching a minimum of, and finally coming back up again to 0. As you moved around the circle your vertical coordinate (the sine) started at and increased steadily until it reached a maximum of when you were on top of the circle. What happens to the sine and cosine as you move once around the circle? In one circuit of the circle you will have turned through an angle of. Where are the coordinates of the point you are at. However, there is nothing to stop you from extending the definitions of the sine and cosine of in analogy with what we had before: When α is greater than π/2, then the right-angled triangle formed from a point on the unit circle no longer contains the angle α. After you have rotated through an angle of that is less than 90 degrees (corresponding to less than in radians) the point you are at defines a right-angled triangle, with corners and The hypotenuse of this triangle has length 1 because the point lies on our circle of radius is 1. ![]() The first step to constructing a wave is to imagine a circle of radius 1 drawn in Cartesian coordinates, with the centre of the circle lying at the point Imagine moving around the circle in an anticlockwise direction, starting at the right-most point. They can be used to build any waveform - the music you are listening to, the digital signal you are sending over wifi, even the swell on the sea - no matter how complicated these natural or human made oscillations might be. The sine and the cosine functions can do a lot more than help you solve geometry problems. ![]() The cosine gives the ratio of the length of the adjacent side to the length of the hypotenuse. For the angle α, the sine gives the ratio of the length of the opposite side to the length of the hypotenuse. 12/12/2023 0 Comments Android pdf reader with auto scroll![]() Your organization makes apps available to you in Company Portal.Your organization configures apps to install automatically at the time of device enrollment.Install an app from the Google Play store, and then sign in to the app with your work or school account. You're using apps in the work profile area on your device. You try to access work files in OneDrive, Teams, or SharePoint. You're signed into an app with your work account.Restrictions and requirements are only enforced when using an app for work or school, such as when: These policies prevent sensitive work information from being shared or leaked outside of your org. HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF AFRICA GEOGRAPHIC: To comment on this story: Login (or sign up) to our app here - it's a troll-free safe place □. Read this story about an orphaned chick that was hand-raised: Seymour the Shoebill © Gerhard Pretorius Both the chicks and the adults engage in bill-clattering during the nesting season as a means of communication. While attending the nest, adults perform bill-clattering displays, accompanied sometimes by a whiney-mewing muttering that often elicits a ‘hiccupping’ gurgle from their chicks as they beg in anticipation for food. Shoebills will usually have two chicks, but only the one who proves to be the strongest survives – the other is left to die. While they may look stork-like, taxonomically speaking they share more traits with the Pelecaniformes (herons and pelicans), and molecular studies have found the hamerkop to be the closest relative of the shoebill.ħ. © Kevin BartlettĦ. Shoebills have a little bit of an identity crisis. Shoebills have specially adapted long toes (up to 18cm heel to toe) with no webbing which helps them to balance on the swampy vegetation while stalking prey. They also have a nictitating membrane – a translucent layer that protects their eyes – which is used when hunting and preening. Other fascinating techniques to cool down involve defecating on their legs (as storks do too), or gular fluttering – the same as dog panting.ĥ. A lungfish © Flickr/ Joel AbroadĤ. Their large bill comes in very handy to carry large ‘gulps’ of fresh water back to the nest in order to douse eggs or chicks when the sweltering heat of the swamps drives temperatures beyond normality. Then, whilst keeping its head aloft from the water, it will slide its bill sideways so as to severe its prey, while the water and vegetation snatched up in the strike spills out from the edges of the bill. Head first, gape open, and wings spread, it smashes through the vegetation in the hopes of coming up with a fish. Like a geological fault accumulating kinetic energy, this blue monolith will bolt downwards when triggered loose by the rippling of an incoming fish. Shoebills use their bills to strike their prey, known as a “collapse”, and its the antitheses of its patient stalking technique. Granted, shoebills don’t fly very far or very often, but flying is no mean feat considering they can grow up to 1.5m tall and weigh up to 7kg!Ģ. Shoebills eat fish that look almost as prehistoric as they do! Although shoebills have been known to gulp down other birds, baby crocodiles, frogs, terrapins, water snakes and even small mammals, the lungfish is their staple diet.ģ. Their distinguishing feature is the enormous shoe-shaped bill, measuring an incredible 20-24 centimetres in length and 10-12 centimetres in width, with a razor-sharp, curved hook at the end. They may be big, but they can fly if they want to. Here are seven reasons to love this big bird:ġ. Despite his prehistoric appearance and the craziness that is his proportions, the shoebill stork is actually quite endearing if you bother to dig a little deeper. He has massive feet, an enormous beak and is very, very tall for a bird. His dimensions too are something of an eye-opener. In profile, one can see the array of dishevelled tufts of feathers that shoot out at all angles from his crown. ![]() ![]() From almost any other angle though, he’s a total hoot. The King Whale-Head (the English translation of Balaeniceps rex) appears from the front like an old university professor, big-nosed, peering over his spectacles. ![]() Found in the marshes of East Africa, the shoebill is classified as vulnerable and is a bucket-list sighting for any avid birder. The supporters of this pattern or alteration view the flags as representing solidarity with public safety and a way to honor fallen or injured first responders. In the recent past, the debate over the thin-line flag has gained a peak in the national and international media. Related controversy over the thin red line flag? Yellow/gold line – Dispatcher/communication.For the sake of example, the following are used Upon this blue line pattern, many similar flags were developed to show solidarity with their respective departments, services, or organizations. This line segregates society from descending into violent chaos.) Here it is important to mention that thin blue line is a typical term used for the concept of police. The conceptual origin of the thin red line flag starts with introducing the blue line flag created to support law enforcement. What is the origin of the thin red line flag concept? Thin Red Line Flag Meaning: “ First responder” refers to any individuals who became first responder at the scene of an emergency this includes police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and others. This flag had been invented or developed in support of service personnel to show solidarity and to honor injured or fallen firefighters during operations. What does a thin red line flag actually mean? Having all stations plotted on a map guides you as to where high- and low-pressure systems, fronts, and the like are located, which ultimately helps you decide where to draw them in.A new version after this variation in a flag is an all-black flag with a single red line through the center. But if you'll be analyzing a weather map by hand, station plot data is often the only information you start off with. If a weather map has already been analyzed, you'll find little use for the station plot data. (When reading the chart, note whether the time of year is daylight saving time or standard time and read accordingly.)Īs seen here, some surface weather maps include groupings of numbers and symbols known as weather station plots. If you're in California (which is Pacific Coastal Time) and the UTC issue time is "1345Z" (or 1:45 p.m.), then you know that the map was constructed at 5:45 a.m. If you're new to Z time, using a conversion chart (like the one shown above) will help you easily convert between it and your local time. Known as Zulu or Z time, this figure is included on a weather map so that all meteorological weather observations (taken at different locations and therefore, in different time zones) can be reported at the same standardized times no matter what the local time might be. It tells you when the weather map was created and also the time when the weather data in the map is valid. ![]() One of the first coded pieces of data you might notice on a weather map is a 4-digit number followed by the letters "Z" or "UTC." When Dani's test space mission ran into trouble, Chase asked Quickshadow to keep Ground Control in the dark while the rescue team used the Sigma to head to the rescue. ![]() Following the successful recovery of the Energon and other tech, Pynch tried to make a getaway in Quickshadow, who promptly drove her to jail in Griffin Rock. As part of the plan, she posed as a relief car when Pynch's car broke down, allowing her to drive into the compound where she could release Servo who planted a device to let the team control the security systems. When Madeline Pynch stumbled on a deposit of Energon, Quickshadow enlisted the rescue team for help in infiltrating the tycoon's mainland compound. They succeeded in exiting through a small hatch and restarted the hologram projectors once the cloaking device had been replaced. With the base's holographic disguise also failing, she and Blurr made their way to the front door, evading the cleaning equipment with some help from Servo. Unfortunately the base's computer then refused to deshrink the pair. After the base was transformed, she accepted Blurr's challenge to race around a slot car track, after having been shrunk using a Minimizer, and easily beat him. To Quickshadow's relief (Blurr and Salvage were really annoying) the day came to open the new Rescue Bot Training Center. They attempted to use the video to force Quickshadow to turn herself over to them, however with the help of the townsfolk, she turned the tables and took Evan and Myles into custody. Following their next attempt, involving a device which overrode control of her alternate mode, she inadvertently exposed the Rescue Bots' secret to the pair. Quickshadow was asked by Chief Burns to help with Earliween preparations, however when she arrived in Griffin Rock, she found herself the subject of an attempted theft by Evan and Myles who mistook her for the car from Maven Danger. Believing the team had nothing to learn from her, she instead opted to instead go to the mainland to instruct Blurr and Salvage. Though she came up with a plan, she didn't have a backup when the plan went wrong, and ended up assisting when Chase provided a solution to the problem.
