This also ensures any running backup processes terminate gracefully if I turn a device off. I also like having all of these backups to my media server on the machines being backed up, so I can pause or start a backup on the fly if I need to. I use Bvckup2 on all Windows devices except for the media server, due to its flexibility and ultra-fast delta and shadowcopy capabilities (It'll saturate my network or archive drives with ease, and without slowing down my PC's too much), and it's simple to set up scheduling and file/folder exclusions. That said, it'd be a fucking nightmare of a project if I do ever get around to that. I will be clear - I am not particularly happy with Windows server and have been considering switching OSes on it.
